Ardmore 9 Year Old 2012 Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr) is a delightful single malt that beckons whisky enthusiasts with its enticing aromas and flavors. On the nose, it unveils a delectable array of buttery pastries, floral tea notes, and the comforting scent of a cozy bonfire, intertwined with woody vanilla. The palate is greeted with rich smoke and vanilla that dance harmoniously with prickles of peppery oak and the sweetness of cooked apples. As the whisky lingers, the finish unveils a delightful balance of butterscotch and soft fudge, complemented by a peppery heat and lingering notes of charred heather and drying peat smoke. This splendid expression, distilled in 2012 and matured in ex-bourbon barrels for nine years, was independently bottled by Càrn Mòr in 2022, with a limited release of 1,184 bottles, making it a coveted addition to any whisky collection.
