This inaugural release from Ardnahoe, one of Islay's newest distilleries, is a captivating single malt whisky that transports you to the rugged shores of the island. The nose tantalizes with aromas reminiscent of bonfires, smoked meats, and caramelized toffee, complemented by the sweet fragrance of baked apples. Upon taking a sip, a peppery kick is balanced by the citrusy notes of orange and the distinctively smoky character that Islay whiskies are celebrated for. Yet, it's the underlying sweetness of toffee that skillfully harmonizes the flavors, preventing any one element from overpowering the others.
