Tasting Notes
Auchentoshan's 14 Year Old 2007 (cask CM292) is a delightful Lowland single malt that emanates a grassy, malty aroma, accompanied by creamy vanilla and toasty oak notes, with a zesty burst of dried citrus peels. The palate opens with a drying spice and vibrant citrus flavors, followed by a rich, oily walnut essence and charred apricot undertones, all intertwined with warming oak spice and hints of floral barley. The finish lingers with a spicy essence, mellowed by oaken vanilla, salted caramel, and floral tea nuances. This impressive expression, aged for 14 years in a single ex-bourbon cask, was independently bottled in May 2022 by House of MacDuff, with only 297 bottles joining the coveted Golden Cask series.
