Aultmore 36 Year Old 1974 - Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing)
Aultmore
Tasting Notes
A truly remarkable expression from Dewar's Aultmore distillery, this 36 Year Old single malt represents one of the most mature bottlings ever released from this Speyside gem. Distilled in 1974 and bottled in July 2010 by the respected independent bottler Douglas Laing as part of their prestigious Old Malt Cask series, this whisky matured in a single refill hogshead (cask #3741) for over three and a half decades. Bottled at 50% ABV without chill filtration or added coloring, this rare release was limited to just 168 bottles, making it not only one of the oldest but also one of the most exclusive Aultmore expressions ever bottled. Each bottle represents a piece of whisky history, offering enthusiasts a rare opportunity to experience the exceptional depths of character that only truly extended maturation can achieve.
