Bankhall Single Malt Cask Strength - First Release
Bankhall
Tasting Notes
A true gem from the inaugural release of Bankhall Distillery in Blackpool, this Single Malt Cask Strength whisky bursts with vibrant aromas of fresh orange, toffee, marshmallow, and cinnamon pastries, intertwined with earthy vanilla, oak char, and hints of cola cubes, mint leaves, and tinned apricots. On the palate, it's a butterscotch-rich delight, reminiscent of sucking on a Werther's Original, with oaken vanilla and marmalade taking center stage. In the background, you'll find sweet notes of Yellow Fruit Pastilles, apricot jam, nutmeg, and a delightful melted butter element. The finish lingers with rich pastries, darker fruits, cocoa powder, and toasted oak, leaving a lasting impression. Crafted from English-grown malted barley and matured for over three years in a single Speyside Cooperage char 4 virgin oak cask, this hand-numbered batch of 225 bottles is a true testament to the skills of head distiller Vince Olsen.
