Tasting Notes
Crafted in the heart of Canada, Benjamin Chapman 7 Year Old Whiskey is a true embodiment of the region's rich whiskey heritage. This exceptional spirit is a harmonious blend of 51% rye and 49% wheat, both sourced from the vast Canadian prairies. The rye, distilled using glacial Rocky Mountain water in a traditional pot still, imparts a robust character, while the wheat, distilled through triple column stills, lends a velvety smoothness. Matured separately in white oak and American oak whiskey casks, the two components unite to create a symphony of flavors. On the nose, you'll be greeted by syrupy notes of honey and maple, intermingled with the warmth of sweet granola and grain. The palate unveils a gentle sweetness, with soft notes of toasted oak, velvety vanilla custard, and a hint of woody spice. As the whiskey lingers, the finish delivers a delightful interplay of peppery grain and spicy cinnamon, tempered by the lingering caramel and honey notes, leaving you with a bold yet delightfully balanced warmth.
