A true masterpiece from the Benriach Distillery, The Twenty One is a symphony of flavors crafted with meticulous care. Aged for 21 years in a harmonious blend of bourbon barrels, sherry casks, new oak casks, and Bordeaux red wine casks, this Speyside single malt whisky tantalizingly weaves together notes of buttered hot cross buns, old oak furniture, and toasty peat on the nose. The palate dances with raisins, sultanas, nutty brown bread, and smoky cedar, subtly sweetened, eventually giving way to lingering dark chocolate. As the finish unfolds, a slow build of peppercorn and clove emerges, delicately balanced by dried cherry and almond.
