Bhakta 1928 is a wild ride, a blend of 60% rye whiskey with Calvados and Armagnac thrown in for good measure. The rye brings spice and backbone, while the apple brandy adds a layer of fruit. But the real kicker is the splash of vintage Armagnac, some dating back to 1928, lending depth and funky rancio notes. It’s a complex, dynamic dram that shouldn’t work, but somehow does.
