Adelphi
Tasting Notes
Unlock the mystique of the Highlands with this enigmatic single malt, independently bottled by Adelphi. Hailing from an undisclosed Highland distillery, this peated expression spent eight long years maturing in a single Oloroso hogshead, allowing it to develop a captivating array of flavors and aromas. On the nose, dried fruit mingles with candied orange and nutty malt, complemented by rich spice and smoky coffee notes. The palate unveils a decadent tapestry of dark caramel, plums, and dates, intertwined with rich wafts of raisins and tobacco, all underpinned by bold, earthy peat. As the finish lingers, smoke embraces dense dried fruits, rich oak, and bold barley, culminating in a delightful clovey fruit cake spice. With a total outturn of 334 bottles, this marvellously mysterious single malt from Adelphi's Breath of the Highlands series promises a truly unique and unforgettable dram.
