Bushmills 30 Year Old is a single malt whiskey that takes you on a delightful journey through a kaleidoscope of flavors. Initially matured for 14 years in a blend of bourbon and sherry casks, the whiskey develops a fruity and buttery nose, reminiscent of rich pain au raisin, prunes, and a hint of Turkish delight. This aromatic bouquet is underpinned by a spicy, oaky backbone that adds depth and complexity. The real magic, however, unfolds on the palate, where the influence of Pedro Ximénez casks, in which the whiskey spent an additional 16 years, comes in waves of dried fruit sweetness, intertwined with notes of orange curd, hazelnut frangipane, and a tantalizing touch of apricot yogurt. The finish is an enchanting encore, with lingering flavors of cherries in syrup and black pepper that seem to linger forever, leaving a lasting impression on your senses.
