Craigellachie 11 Year Old 2012 (Thompson Bros.) is a tantalizing adventure for the senses. As you pour a dram, the aroma envelops you with the warmth of smoked almonds mingling with the sweetness of stone fruits and caramelized brown sugar, enlivened by zesty orange marmalade and a peppery kick. The first sip introduces a delightful dance of flavors – roasted pineapple mingles with fresh grassy notes and orchard fruit, while nutmeg and nutty muesli provide depth and complexity. The finish lingers pleasantly, offering a sweet and well-spiced farewell. This 11-year-old peated single malt, distilled in 2012 at the Craigellachie distillery in Speyside, was matured in a bourbon cask and independently bottled by Thompson Bros., making it a rare find with a limited release of 285 bottles.
