Dailuaine 8 Year Old 2011 - Hepburn's Choice is a delightful single cask whisky that tantalizes the senses with its captivating aromas and flavors. The nose entices with notes of sugar-dusted lemon shortbread, velvety vanilla custard, and toasted wood shavings. On the palate, it unveils a delightful medley of oaty raisin cookies, creamy textures, grilled banana nuances, and buttery caramel that harmoniously balances with subtle herbal notes. As the whisky lingers on the finish, the sweet and creamy vanilla persists, accompanied by hints of vegetal malt and green herbal accents, providing a balanced contrast to the rich, cakey spice. This marvellous expression, distilled in 2011 and matured for eight years in a bourbon barrel, was bottled in 2020 by Langside, yielding a limited release of 305 bottles for the esteemed Hepburn's Choice collection.
