ASW Distillery's Fiddler Encore Bourbon Cigar Batch is a fascinating blend. It takes a wheated bourbon mashbill aged for seven years in Richland Rum, Maple Syrup, and Amburana barrels. The result? A potent 112.6 proof whiskey that bursts with Cinnamon Toast Crunch on the nose, giving way to maple syrup and a hint of pecan. The palate doubles down on the maple, balancing it with a subdued cinnamon note and a touch of vanilla. The finish takes an interesting turn, with banana and citrus notes adding a unique twist to the sweetness. While the Amburana finish is strong, masking some of the bourbon's nuances, it's still a flavorful and enjoyable pour that pairs beautifully with a cigar.
