Glasgow 1770 has unveiled a truly unique and robust whisky, boasting a double dose of peaty goodness. Crafted from barley peated to a robust 50ppm, this single malt was meticulously distilled and matured for a total of six years. However, the real magic lies in its finish, where it was carefully aged in a single refill bourbon hogshead that previously held a peated Islay single malt. This extra step imbues the whisky with an extraordinary depth of smoky, maritime flavors that seamlessly intertwine with the inherent peatiness of the mainland barley. Bottled at a robust 57.3% ABV, this limited release of 303 bottles offers whisky enthusiasts a chance to savor a truly distinctive and bold expression, where the smoky essence takes center stage, accompanied by layers of complexity and character.
