This 11-year-old Glen Moray single malt is a delightful blend of contrasting flavors. On the nose, sweet notes of plum jam and cooked berries greet you, accompanied by a whiff of bonfire smoke lingering in the distance. The palate is a rich, fruity explosion of plum character, complemented by cherry chocolate, roasted nuts, and vinous oak undertones, all underpinned by an elegant layer of peat smoke. The finish is a lingering sweetness of smoke intertwined with stewed dark fruits and a touch of pepper. Distilled in March 2012 and matured initially in bourbon casks, this lightly peated expression was then finished in Rioja red wine casks, imparting its unique and inviting character. Bottled at cask strength in August 2023, this whisky offers a harmonious symphony of flavors that will tantalize your senses.
