The Glen Scotia 12 Year Old Icons of Campbeltown Release No.1 is a captivating single malt whisky that takes you on a journey through the coastal town of Campbeltown. Inspired by a medieval mermaid carving, this dram offers a delightful blend of sweet and salty flavors. On the nose, you're greeted with a delightful combination of toffee, cinnamon, and chocolate, complemented by a refreshing sea spray and a hint of orange peel. The palate is thick and creamy, unveiling notes of molasses, Brazil nuts, and more toffee, with a distinct salty character that pays homage to Campbeltown's maritime heritage. The finish lingers long and nutty, with a sherried tang that adds depth and complexity. Aged in bourbon casks and finished in palo cortado sherry casks, this whisky is bottled at 54.1% ABV and showcases striking packaging designed by renowned artist Joel Holtzman, who has worked with Marvel and LucasFilm.
