Distilled on June 27th, 1986, and matured for a quarter century in hogshead #2279 until its bottling on October 22nd, 2011, this expression yielded just 240 numbered bottles at natural cask strength, without chill filtration. The whisky unfolds with a complex nose balancing medicinal notes with dry heathery character, hints of burning cardboard, and sweet touches of malt, honey, and Demerara sugar.
