This 10-year-old Inchmurrin single malt whisky is a delightful treat for the senses. Upon pouring, the nose is greeted by a tantalizing aroma of chocolate-coated citrus, rich oak, and vanilla fudge. As you take a sip, layers of runny toffee, cooked apple, strawberry, and boiled sweeties unfold on the palate, underpinned by notes of burnt caramel and roasted nuts. The finish is pleasantly warming, with hints of allspice joining the lingering sticky toffee sweetness. This peated expression from Loch Lomond's Inchmurrin distillery was independently bottled by Brave New Spirits as part of their Whiskyheroes series, with a limited batch of 425 bottles yielded from first-fill bourbon barrels after a decade of maturation.
