Tasting Notes
This 8-year-old gem from Knockdhu distillery is a true delight for whisky enthusiasts. The nose greets you with a captivating aroma of bold roasted malt, creamy vanilla, and polished oak, complemented by the refreshing scent of freshly cut grass. As you take a sip, the oaken vanilla notes continue to tantalize your palate, harmoniously blending with robust barley flavors and smooth butterscotch undertones that gently soften the bittersweet spice. The finish lingers with a delightful combination of spiced nuts, candied orange, and sweet, buttery oak, leaving a lasting impression on your senses. This marvellous Speysider was distilled in 2008 and carefully matured for eight years in a bourbon barrel before being expertly bottled by indie bottler Alistair Walker in September 2021, resulting in a limited outturn of 210 bottles as part of the Infrequent Flyers series.
