Tasting Notes
Longrow Red 13 Year Old - Malbec Cask Finish is a delightful blend of coastal and fruity flavors. The nose greets you with a refreshing sea breeze, carrying hints of salt and sweet cocktail cherries, blackberries, and red currants. As you take a sip, the fruitiness blossoms with notes of rhubarb crumble, stewed apples, and juicy plums, complemented by a subtle touch of peat and sea salt. The finish is a harmonious dance of red wine tannins, smouldering campfire smoke, and lingering flavors of prunes and cherries. This 13-year-old Campbeltown single malt, released under the Longrow name, boasts a distinctive peaty character and a unique finishing touch from the Malbec casks, where it spent 15 months after aging for 12 years in bourbon casks.
