This unique peated whisky from Meikle Tòir, crafted under the expert guidance of Billy Walker, offers a captivating sensory journey. The nose greets you with a symphony of aromas – old leather, cigar box, and oak char intertwine with ginger, vanilla, licorice, and a hint of cinder toffee. On the palate, dark chocolate and cinnamon harmonize with marmalade, vanilla, and a sweet peat smoke, leading to rich crème brûlée and toasted almond notes. The finish lingers with a smoky and sweet farewell. Meticulously aged in American oak bourbon barrels and the bold Chinquapin virgin oak casks, this innovative single malt Scotch whisky, peated to 35ppm using mainland St. Fergus peat, underwent an extended 160-hour fermentation, resulting in a bold and complex flavor profile that whisky connoisseurs will undoubtedly savor.
