This 14-year-old single malt from Mortlach Distillery offers an enticing aroma of luscious, soaked fruit intertwined with roasted, caramelized nuts, fragrant oak, and alluring notes of woody vanilla. On the palate, it delights with a harmonious balance of sweet sultanas, juicy barley, toasted almonds, and fresh vanilla pod flavors, followed by a delightful medley of chewy toffee, tinned pineapple, and bittersweet citrus notes. As the whisky lingers, an earthy spice core emerges, complemented by a hefty malt presence, mocha undertones, and hints of spiced fruit loaf. Independently bottled by Càrn Mòr, this exceptional whisky was distilled in 2008 and spent 14 years maturing, including a finish in ex-Moscatel casks, imparting its unique and intricate flavor profile.
