Old Parr 12 Year

Tasting Notes

Don't let the unassuming bottle fool you, Old Parr 12 Year is a surprisingly complex blended Scotch. Think honey and dried fruit upfront, with a good hit of baking spices. It's got a nice, chewy mouthfeel, hinting at sherry cask influence and a dominant single malt (Cragganmore, perhaps?). The oak is definitely present, maybe even a bit strong for some, giving it a slightly acrid edge on the finish. Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or with a splash of soda to tame that oak. A solid value for a flavorful dram!
