Tasting Notes

Pelter 5 Year Old – Batch #2 is an exquisite Israeli single malt whisky that tantalizes the senses. On the nose, it presents an alluring aroma of pecan, lemon drizzle cake, melted butter, and a delicate floral hint. The palate is a delightful harmony of malty richness, layers of honey sweetness, and warm oak undertones. As the whisky lingers, it unveils a slightly chocolatey finish, accompanied by subtle tobacco nuances. This exceptional spirit was meticulously crafted, spending four years in first-fill Jim Beam bourbon barrels before being divided into two parcels – one matured in Cognac casks from Otard, while the other aged in Pelter's own brandy casks. The two parcels were then skillfully married and bottled at a robust 51.3% ABV, capturing the essence of Pelter's dedication to artisanal craftsmanship.
