Pelter's 5 Year Old - Batch #3 is an inviting Israeli whisky that tantalizes the senses. On the nose, it's a delightful medley of candied orange, leather, gingerbread, vanilla fudge, floral honey, and crushed almonds – a sweet and aromatic symphony. The palate is a decadent adventure, unveiling layers of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, prune, cinnamon, and a bounty of orchard fruit flavors. The finish is rich and sweet, leaving a lingering warmth and satisfaction. This single malt whisky spent its initial years maturing in first-fill Jim Beam bourbon barrels, before being split and finished in Cognac casks from Otard and Pelter's own brandy casks, imparting unique nuances. After a year of finishing, the whisky was skillfully married back together and bottled at a robust 53% ABV, capturing the essence of its remarkable journey.
