Heritage Distilling's Service to America Salute: Battle of Iwo Jima is a powerful bourbon, bottled at 52.5% ABV, commemorating a pivotal WWII battle. It's a wheated bourbon with a hearty dose of cinnamon, reminiscent of Cinnamon Red Hots, alongside black tea and nougat notes. The finish lingers with warm spice. While not perfectly aligned with my personal preferences, its rich and sweet profile, coupled with the noble cause of supporting the Marine Raider Foundation, makes it a unique and impactful pour.
