The Springbank 25 Year Old 2023 Release represents the pinnacle of traditional Campbeltown whisky-making, where every aspect of production remains entirely in-house. Limited to just 1,400 bottles, this exceptional expression combines spirit distilled two and a half times - following Springbank's unique partial triple distillation method - and matured in equal parts refill sherry and bourbon casks. Bottled at 46% ABV in December 2022, the whisky begins with an inviting nose where sweet caramel and millionaire shortbread mingle with dried pineapple and honeydew melon. The palate presents a gentle, refined experience with a smooth, buttery texture, as notes of gingerbread and liquorice dance with subtle coffee grounds, hinting at mature oak influence. The journey concludes with Springbank's characteristic light peat smoke emerging in the finish, creating a sophisticated finale.
