Hailing from the land down under, Starward Left-Field is a delightfully unique single malt whisky that invites you to explore its unconventional flavors. This Australian gem has been lovingly matured in red wine barrels, imparting a delightful winey character that dances harmoniously with notes of dried fruit, maple syrup, and enticing baking spices. The nose tantalizes with aromas of tangy red apple skin, juicy strawberries, and apricot jam, complemented by hints of orange peel, fresh raspberries, and mango slices. Cocoa powder, vanilla, ginger beer, and a touch of charred chili pepper add depth, while demerara sugar, maple syrup, nougat, and milky coffee lend a delightful sweetness. On the palate, a core of winey-woodiness envelops flavors of sultanas soaked in PX sherry, ginger cake, and a beautiful mealy maltiness, balanced by tart cherries and cranberries.
