Think maple syrup pancakes drenched in red fruit, followed by a wave of oaky spice. While it boasts a medium body and a decent, lingering finish, a bit of youthful ethanol heat peeks through at the end. Matured in first-fill sherry casks of European and American oak, expect notes of dried fruit, toffee, and even a touch of chocolate. Overall, a solid sipper, but the finish might not blow you away.
