The Speysiders 11 Year Old 2009 - The Vatting (Murray McDavid) is a harmonious blend of four Speyside single malts, expertly crafted by the skilled artisans at Murray McDavid. This exceptional whisky was initially matured in bourbon barrels, imparting a rich, malty backbone with notes of fruity flapjack and spiced nuts. The blend was then finished in Pedro Ximènez sherry casks, adding layers of complexity with flavors of chocolate-coated nuts, raisins, and syrupy biscuits. The finish lingers with boozy sultanas, caramel raisins, diced nuts, and warming spices, leaving a lasting impression on the palate. With only 1,102 bottles released in 2021, this 11-year-old Speyside dram is a true testament to the art of blending and showcases the region's renowned distilleries in a delightful symphony of flavors.
