Wolfburn Distillery's Coronation of King Charles is a remarkable single malt whisky, crafted to commemorate the crowning of King Charles III. This spirit captures the essence of the favorite sample savored by the then Prince Charles during his visit to the distillery in 2019. Unpeated and aged for over seven years in bourbon barrels, it unveils a harmonious symphony of flavors. The nose tantalizes with a delicate bouquet of orchard blossoms, poached stone fruits, and a subtle drizzle of syrup, intertwined with delicate hints of oak char and a buttery malt undertone. On the palate, dense layers of dates, dried fruits, toasted nuts, and cakey spice unfold, followed by a smooth oak vanilla and buttery butterscotch note. The finish lingers with a sweet embrace of maple and vanilla, while elegant spice notes linger in the depths, creating a delightfully lingering experience.
