Tasting Notes
Wolfcraig 30 Year Old whisky is a masterpiece that tantalizes the senses with its alluring aromas and rich flavors. Upon nosing, it unveils a bouquet of Seville orange marmalade, creamy caramel, Manuka honey, and hints of lemon drizzle cake, followed by enticing notes of freshly baked banana bread, sweet pineapple, Devonshire fudge, and caramelized pear, with a whisper of Ogen melon and sun-kissed raisins. On the palate, it unfolds a divine decadence of maple syrup, bitter chocolate, Pontefract cake, and sweet sultanas, enriched by Cara Cara orange, crushed almonds, and Napoleon cake drenched in Madagascan vanilla custard. The finish is a compelling portrait of pure beauty, with a finale of crème brûlée, cape gooseberries, and toffee apple, leaving a pleasing aftertaste of aged balsamic, espresso coffee, and ginger drifting in the background. This exceptional blend, crafted by legendary master blenders Richard Paterson OBE and Ian Macmillan, marries parcels from all five whisky regions of Scotland, particularly the Highlands and Speyside, and is married in aged PX Sherry casks before bottling at 46% ABV.
